NASA’s Space Probe Reveals God’s Mighty Universe

NASA launched the space probe Voyager in September of 1977. Today, almost 50 years later, the spacecraft has far extended the expectations and is now 15 billion miles away from earth! It is now beyond the heliosphere where the sun’s bubble of magnetic field and particles extend well beyond the orbit of the Planet Pluto. It is the first spacecraft to enter interstellar space, the region between stars. Still traveling at 38,000 mikes per hour it is also the first time a spacecraft has crossed the barrier where the influences from outside our solar system are stronger than those from the sun.

How technology can communicate with an object that far away baffles the mind. Recently, there was a glitch. A signal was sent to it to confirm that something was still working and it sent back a confirmation. The signal traveled through space for 23 hours one way, and it took another 23 hours to receive the response. Incredible!

The heavens display the glory of God. The Bible has a lot to say about the heavens. There are actually three “layers” of heaven. In 2 Corinthians 12:1-4 the Apostle Paul writes. “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven…and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter.” Deuteronomy 10:14 adds to the concept of more than one heaven. “Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens…”  We also read in 1 Kings 8:27, “Will God indeed dwell on the earth?  Behold, the heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you…”

Revelation 4:1-2 says, “After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven!…At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in the heaven, with one seated on the throne.” So, we know from scripture that somewhere in the vastness of multiple heavens, is the throne of God. The incredible thing is that Christians can come before His throne to ask for help in time of need, but there is no glitch in communication caused by God, and it doesn’t take 23 hours to get there. He sent his Holy Spirit to indwell the hearts and souls of believers.

From his throne in the paradise of heaven God sent his Son, Jesus, to be the Savior of humanity and each individual person. He forsook his heavenly glory to come in the form of a baby born in Bethlehem, whose birth Christians celebrate at Christmas. He walked upon the earth and lived a perfect life for 33 years to show humanity how to live, but was rejected and crucified for our sins.  But he rose from the dead three days later and is alive today, and coming back soon. He can live in your heart through his Holy Spirit if you ask him too.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
