How To Make A Demon Tremble

By Joel B.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble

Friends, sadly part of many of the trails we face during this lifetime on the earth involve dealing with demonic forces. However, this doesn’t necessarily have to be a complicated thing. We are given information in the Holy Bible about things demons hate. Things that we can remind them of that make them want to tremble and flee. So, let’s take a few moments at how to make demons tremble and scurry away.

Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Demons know that their time is short and they do not want to be reminded of this. It says in Rev 12:12 that the devil comes at us with great wrath because he knows his time is short. So, if he is bothering you, just be sure to remind him that his time is short. If this fact makes him angry, then surely he is not going to want to stick around if you keep reminding him of it.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Remind demons that you have authority over them and don’t hesitate to use that authority in Christ’s name when dealing with them. They will not want to stick around when they are being taken control of with our spiritual authority.

Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Christ made an open spectacle of the demonic powers on the cross by defeating them once and for all and opened a direct avenue of salvation for all mankind. Reminding demons that Christ conquered them on the cross at Calvary will quickly have them scurrying away. They do not want to be reminded of this monumental and lasting defeat.

James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…

Most importantly, submit yourselves to God. You see, none of this is about the demons. It’s all about our Lord and our relationship with Him. In Luke 10:20, we are told not to rejoice because the demonic spirits are subject to us, but because our names are written in heaven. So, submitting ourselves to God will draw us to where we need to be and away from those nasty demons.

In closing, I just want to say that if you know a demon is bothering you then get connected with other believers immediately. Pray together, fight together, and draw close to God together. Unity gets the job done. Also, learn the full armor of God in Ephesians 6. This will deflect any attacks you may be facing and protect you from future attempts that these monstrous spirits may try. Stay armed and stay safe. Thank you for reading and God bless.

  1. This article should be a beacon of help for all of us who face this adversary. Thank The Lord that He has fitted us with the ways to combat this enemy of our souls. May we seek The Lord and find refuge and strength for the battle yet before us.

  2. Our greatest weapons against our enemy are the name and power of Jesus Christ. These weapons of defense are greatly undervalued and underused. It would be foolish to enter battle without one’s greatest weapon. We are all in a spiritual battle. For some, it may be more fierce than others. Nevertheless it is still all around us. These a great scriptures to prepare us for battle.
