No Weapon Will Prosper

Any hurts, tragedies, or temptations Satan tries to throw against you; will not prosper because Jesus Christ made a public spectacle of all the dark hosts of heaven and especially their evil ringleader. Every believer needs to share in this revelation that Satan is a defeated enemy and he has no power over us unless we give it to him.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole   armour of God,that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-17

God has supplied us with supernatural weapons to fight supernatural enemies in deep and dark heavenly places. God has given us wonderful weapons of supernatural strength with which to fight with. The description of the soldier clad with all these weapons in Ephesians 6:10-17 is a perfect picture of Jesus Christ our supernatural captain. God has given us a list of these weapons He expects us to us against the enemy and through daily meditation of these scriptures the use of these weapons will become second nature to us. No matter how thick the battle seems to go against us or if we think we are losing the battle these are deceptive lies from hell because God is always leading us in triumph:

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14

Not only do we defeat the enemy at every turn but we leave the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Jesus Christ everywhere we fight. We see God leading us in victory every step of the way. So saints gird up your loins with the truth of God and start fighting!

How can the Lord help you win the fight today?

  1. I’ve heard more than a few stories of armed robbers turning and running when their would be victim start preaching the gospel or calling on the name of Jesus. There is power in His name.

  2. In America, this is a fairly easy concept to grasp, in comparison to how the Christians in the Middle East might view this teaching, the ones who have had family members beheaded, imprisoned, and run out of their homes and countries. I am sure it has been much harder for them to accept this “victorious” Christian life than it is for us. And what about Kim Davis right now sitting in her jail cell? I don’t intend to minimize the victory Christians have in Christ, but we must put things in perspective. Some Christians may not see victory in this earthly life, but they will have their final reward and crowns in heaven for all eternity.

    • John,
True there are Christians being persecuted in other countries and true Kim Davis is in jail for standing up for her faith.
But the fact remains that Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” meaning victorious life here on earth as well as in Heaven. This perspective is scriptural. All Christians can live a victorious life here on earth. Matthew 19:29 “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.” One hundred times as much AND will inherit eternal life.

      • I am just saying that being a victorious Christian can mean different things to people depending upon the circumstances they are in, and what they are up against in the culture in which they live. Let’s take Pastor Saeed, for example. He is maintaining a very victorious attitude in that prison cell because he is in fellowship with the Lord, but his circumstances are anything but victorious. To him, having victory is being with his wife and kids in Boise, Idaho. So, there is a spiritual victory which we can have all of the time. Victory in a physical or material sense, however, comes about as a result of being freed from circumstances. Many Christians are living in horrible circumstances and maybe they will until they pass away or Jesus returns. But they still can have victory in their attitudes.

        • John,
I hear what you are saying but Christians can have victory here in earthly circumstances as well in their attitudes.

          • Of course, Christians can have victory in their circumstances and over addictions, etc. I have had deliverances myself over things. Perhaps I did not communicate that very well. All I am saying is that what we consider a victorious Christian life here in America could be different from how one views it in another culture.
