The Master’s Key

Locked up inside of us,
there is a lack of trust.

Trusting Jesus with all our woes,
is much better than giving in to our foes

The enemy is fighting each day,
hoping the walls of our heart will decay.

Enough to open the door,
exposing our hearts and so much more.

There’s a spiritual battle going on,
intended to make us strong.

A war ensuing for our souls,
waiting for the truth to unfold.

Even the enemy can see,
when we’ve become weak.

Knowing Jesus has the key,
that only He can perceive.

A key that unlocks every part,
ensuing the battle of our hearts.

Once we’ve realized we need Jesus,
the enemy quickly tries to deceive us.

The key is being held by the Master,
and doesn’t have to go any faster.

Jesus has the Master Key,
that refreshes within once we see.

As it is for everything,
this “special” key changes things.

It changes things from the inside out,
leaving no room for any doubt.

The more we’re yielded to Him,
the locked doors can be opened within.

Doors that have been locked for years,
yielding only to pain and tears.

Once Jesus uses that one key,
blindness leaves and we can see.

Jesus won that war on the cross,
and He loves us at a cost.

The price Jesus paid that day,
unlocked many doors along the way.

Unlocking the doors of the hearts of many,
for the harvest of souls were plenty.

There are those who still deny Him,
because they’ve remained blinded.

Jesus holds the key to our hearts,
and it will only unlock if we’re willing to start.

Revelation 3:20
Behold I stand at the door and knock:
if any man hear my voice, and open
the door, I will come in to him, and
will sup with him, and he with me.

About Linda Delgado

Linda Delgado was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. She moved down to Corpus Christi, Texas, with her parents, where she graduated from high school in 1977. She attempted to pursue a medical field, soon after. Realizing that's not where God's plan was for her, she continued following the Lord. In 1985, she married her husband, Rudy Delgado, who she recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary with. In August of 2022, she became a Poetry Author. She also enjoys sharing God's heart through freelance writing, as well. She is also a member of Faithwriters.com. In their leisure time, Rudy and Linda enjoy the company of their two pets, Tina (Chihuahua) and Miss Kitty (Tabby). They also have enjoyed the adventure of raising their, now, 17-year-old grandson. As of September 2023 @ 7:29pm, Linda's husband went to be with the Lord. Even though this has left a hole in her heart, she is going to continue writing , as the Lord leads. Rudy will dearly be missed by all who knew him, especially his wife Linda Delgado. Until we meet again!
