Christ Our Light In Every Place

Christ, Our Light in Every Place

His light shines forth, so pure, so bright,
Through darkest depths and shadowed night.
No path so lost, no step so stray,
That He won’t guide us on the way.

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

When trials rise and burdens weigh,
His mercy dawns like break of day.
Through storm and calm, His voice is near,
A whisper sweet that casts out fear.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)

In joyful times and days of woe,
Where’er we tread, His love will flow.
No place too distant, no heart too wild,
That He won’t claim as His own child.

“Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20)

So let us walk in light divine,
His truth, His grace, forever shine.
No earthly power nor fleeting flame
Can dim the glory of His name.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)

He parts the clouds when hope is dim,
And bids us place our trust in Him.
Through waves that crash and winds that rise,
His hand upholds, His love supplies.

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah 43:2)

No burden heavy, no sorrow deep,
That He won’t hold, that He won’t keep.
His peace outshines the darkened skies,
And lifts our souls where mercy flies.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

“O Lord, whose light is ever bright, Guide our steps both day and night. Wherever we go, let mercy flow, And in Thy presence may we grow. In darkest hours, in brightest days, hold us close and hear our praise. Thy love remains, steadfast and true, O Light of Heaven, lead us through. In Jesus name, Amen.”
