The Deception Of The Deceiver

Deception comes in many shapes and forms,
leaving us at times distraught and forlorn.

How our hearts are broken in two,
but we know our Savior will heal us soon.

God’s church yearns for all His believers,
as they walk away with the deceiver.

Only prayer and the reading of His Word
can heal the brokenness that we’ve endured.

Father, You see the pain within our hearts,
we are asking You, “When will it depart?”

We are unworthy of You, our Savior,
for our sins do not deserve Your favor.

We don’t deserve the love You have for us,
so please tell us what You see, Lord Jesus?

Within our very souls, we are drowning,
in the tears of our cries, we are floundering.

Our Lord and Savior came to set us free,
from the deception so that we may see.

Please take these chains off our bodies and souls,
so that we can once again be made whole!

The deceitfulness of the accuser
had led us to believe we were losers.

We’re tired of the lies that he tells,
and we can hardly wait till he stays in Hell!

The deception we’ve endured through the years,
only our Jesus can bind, for He hears.

We’re looking forward to that glorious day,
when we know, with Him, we’ll forever stay!

No more lies will be whispered in our ears,
for the liar that he is, will no longer have years.

When the time comes though and it will one day,
the wicked deceiver will be put away.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.
